Request a QuoteA barbed wire fence is an essential protective barrier used for security and safety applications. It consists of sharp barbed wire strands designed to deter intrusion and unauthorized access. Typically installed around high-value sites such as buildings, factories, prisons, military bases, and government facilities, it creates a reliable physical obstacle.
The primary purpose of a barbed wire fence is to prevent intruders from crossing into restricted areas while also keeping animals out. These fences are characterized by their height, sturdiness, durability, and climbing resistance, making them an effective security solution.
Material: Plastic-coated iron wire, stainless steel wire, electroplating wire
Diameter: 1.7–2.8 mm
Barb spacing: 10–15 cm
Arrangement: Single strand, multiple strands, three strands
Custom sizes are available upon request.
Barbed wire can be manufactured using three twisting methods: positive twist, reverse twist, and forward-and-reverse twist.
Positive twisting method: Two or more wires are twisted into a double-strand rope, then the barbed wire is wound around this rope.
Reverse twisting method: The barbed wire is first wound onto a single main wire, and then a second wire is twisted and woven with it to form a double-strand barbed wire.
Positive and reverse twisting method: The barbed wire is twisted and woven in the opposite direction from the point where it wraps around the main wire, instead of twisting in one uniform direction.

Barbed wire has a wide range of applications. Originally developed for military use, it is now commonly employed for paddock enclosures, agricultural and livestock management, as well as residential and commercial security. Its scope continues to expand. For perimeter protection, barbed wire provides an excellent deterrent effect. However, careful attention to safety and proper installation is essential.
